2025 is now closed, and it has been a year where we continued to develop both the company and the platform. Throughout the year we strengthened our technical foundation, established new partnerships and continued building solutions that simplify and streamline companies’ invoicing and payment processes.
Here are some of the key highlights from the year.
Strong growth and a scalable business model
During 2025, Payer’s revenue more than doubled compared to the previous year.
At the same time, the platform continues to demonstrate a strong gross margin of over 85%, highlighting the scalability of our business model as volumes grow.
Part of the year’s revenue came from recurring expert engagements with customers. This has been a deliberate strategy that allows us to continue developing the platform while maintaining a sustainable path toward profitability.
Partnerships opening new markets
During the year we established a strategic partnership with a payment company, enabling us to offer Payer’s solutions through a new distribution channel.
Through this partnership we are now onboarding customers from several parts of the Nordics, creating new opportunities to scale the platform without each deal needing to be driven directly by our own team.
Partnerships are a key part of our strategy going forward and will play an important role as we continue expanding across the region.
Continued focus on product development
Product development continued at a strong pace throughout the year. We introduced several new platform features designed to automate manual tasks and reduce costs in customers’ order-to-cash processes.
Our focus has been to make it easier for companies to manage invoicing, payments and follow-up within a single system, while at the same time building a technical platform that can evolve quickly as new needs emerge.
Laying the foundation for the next generation of AI functionality
A significant part of this year’s development work has been dedicated to building AI capabilities into the platform.
During the year we developed an AI layer where specialized agents can be configured to analyze system data, identify possible actions and assist users directly within the interface. At the same time, business logic, data control and execution remain within the platform, ensuring that users retain full control.
For users, this means the system can increasingly assist in day-to-day operations. The platform can analyze information, suggest actions and help perform tasks directly in the portal, helping speed up processes and eliminate manual work.
For us, this also creates a technical foundation that allows new AI-driven functionality to be developed and launched much faster. By configuring new agents, instructions and tools, we can address more types of challenges in customers’ invoicing and payment workflows without building every feature from scratch.
During 2026 we will begin introducing AI assistants and agents based on this foundation.
Expansion of the organization
During the year we also continued to develop the organization.
We established the company’s second office in a new location, strengthening our presence and creating better conditions for continued growth.
At the same time, we welcomed new people to the team and continued building the expertise required to develop the next generation of the platform.
An oversubscribed investment round
During the year we also closed an oversubscribed investment round, welcoming several new investors to the company.
This capital enables us to continue investing in product development, AI capabilities and expansion through partnerships across the Nordics.
Looking ahead to 2026
As we enter 2026, our focus remains on three key areas:
-
continued development of the platform
-
launching AI-powered functionality
-
scaling through partnerships across the Nordics
Throughout the year we will also share more details about several of these initiatives in separate newsletters and product updates, where we will go deeper into new technical developments, new features and how customers are using the platform.
Our goal remains the same: to make B2B invoicing and payments simpler, smarter and more automated for our customers.
We look forward to sharing more details about each of these developments soon.
